The all-new Kia EV6 is priced at Rs 59.95 lakh ex-showroom in India. Despite the fact that only 100 units of the 2022 Kia EV6 were available in India, the carmaker has received 355 reservations. Kia has also installed 150kW chargers in 15 EV-specific dealerships in 12 Indian cities, with deliveries beginning in September.
The Kia EV6 will enter India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, with the Korean automaker initially bringing 100 units of the electric crossover. As with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, it is built on Hyundai’s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The Kia EV6 will come standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a three-pin socket under the back seat and electric sunroof.
The Kia EV6 will have up to eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ABS, ESC, VSM, Hill-start control, emergency stop signal, and other features. It also includes Kia’s two-level ADAS system.
Kia India provides its customers with three years of 24×7 RSA service.
The Kia EV6 will be available with ultra-fast charging options, with the ability to add up to 100 kilometers in just 4.5 minutes when using a fast charger. 15 Kia dealerships will be outfitted with 150kW fast chargers that can charge the EV6 from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes. A 350 kW fast charger takes 18 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%, whereas a 50kW charger takes 73 minutes to do the same. It can also be a power source for appliances, tools and devices like a computer, tv etc.
