TVS Motor Company unveiled the 2022 iQube electric scooter on Wednesday, with a starting price of 98,564. (on-road, Delhi including FAME and state subsidy). The scooter is available in three models: TVS iQube, iQube S, and iQube ST. The S version costs $1,08,690 (on-road in Delhi, including FAME and state subsidies), while the ST version does not yet have a price.
Customers can book the iQube and iQube S starting today, and the iQube ST can be reserved in advance. The scooters will be delivered immediately. Both the iQube and iQube S electric scooters are currently available in 33 cities and will soon be available in 52 more.
The design of the 2022 iQube model has been inspired by three fundamental principles – choice, comfort and simplicity of operability. Customers will be able to choose from three variants of the electric scooter based on range, storage, colours and connectivity features. A choice between three variants of off-board chargers will be available depending on their needs – 650W, 950W and 1.5kW.
Range and top speed of the TVS iQube:
While the base and S variants of the scooter have a range of 100 km on a single charge, the top-of-the-line ST version has a range of 140 km. The range of all three variants is greater than the previous model, which had a range of 75 kilometres on a single charge. The top speed of the iQube and iQube S will be 78 km/h, while the ST variant will be 82 km/h.
iQube TVS:
The base model of the 2022 TVs iQube has a 5-inch TFT screen with turn-by-turn navigation assistance and is available in three colours. It has a TVS Motor designed battery with a capacity of 3.4 kWh.
TVS iQube S:
The iQube S has the same battery as the iQube, but it also has a 7-inch TFT screen with an intuitive five-way joystick for interaction, music control, theme personalisation, proactive notifications, and vehicle health. It is available in four different colours.
TVS iQube ST:
In addition to these features, the iQube ST is powered by a 5.1 kWh battery pack designed by TVS Motor. It features intelligent ride connectivity, including a 7-inch TFT touch screen with five-way joystick interactivity, music control, and proactive notifications such as vehicle health, 4G telematics, and OTA updates. The scooter includes infinite theme customization, voice assistance, and the TVS iQube Alexa skillset. It will be available in four colours and will have 32-litre under-seat storage with two helmets.
The company had first launched the electric scooter in the Indian market two years back, taking its first step towards electrification. The two-wheeler maker claims that it has so far crossed three crore kilometres of electric commute on the Indian roads.
