Hyundai unveiled the 2023 i20 facelift, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh ex-showroom. The facelift version has additional varieties and features, however it is now only available in single-engine petrol models.
Hyundai i20 2023: Single engine option
Let’s just pull off that bandage. Hyundai has chosen to phase out the powerful 1-litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will be the only option for the 2023 i20, allowing Hyundai to aggressively price the premium hatchback and compete with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The 2023 i20 comes with two gearbox options: a 5-speed manual and an automatic CVT (iVT). The power output varies depending on the gearbox, with the manual producing 82bhp and the automatic producing 87bhp. They both have the same 114.7Nm of torque.
Hyundai i20 2023: Price
The 2023 i20 is offered in four variants: Era, Magna, Sportz, and Asta, all of which have dual-tone trims, while the top model has Asta (O). In the 2023 i20, Hyundai has introduced a new entry-level variation called the Era. All five models have a 5-speed manual transmission, but the top two, the Sportz and Asta, have a CVT automatic transmission option. Fiery Red, Amazon Grey, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, and Starry Night are the six solid colors offered for the i20. Both the Sportz and Asta trims come in two dual-tone color schemes: fiery red with a black roof and Atlas white with a black roof.
