Kia recently unveiled the upgraded Sonet, which now has additional features and revised appearance. All the details of the redesigned Sonet are available, barring pricing. In its class, the Korean crossover is undoubtedly the most expensive option. Let’s see how the 2024 Sonet facelift stacks up against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, one of its main competitors.

Although Sonet and Nexon have different designs, they are roughly the same size. The dimensions of the two SUVs are the same at 3,995 mm for length, 1790 mm for width, and 2,500 mm for wheelbase. With features like LED headlights and DRLs, keyless entry, an electric sunroof, wireless phone charging, a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, auto climate control, connected car tech, and a 360-degree camera, Sonet and Brezza are among the most feature-rich vehicles in this class.
A premium audio system is also available for both SUVs: a 6-speaker Arkamys unit in Brezza and a 7-speaker Bose unit in Sonet. With extra options including electric and ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and one-touch power windows, the Sonet surpasses the Brezza in terms of features.
But the most powerful tool in the upgraded Sonet’s equipment is Level 1 ADAS, which provides safety features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane follow assist, and collision avoidance assist, etc. It also gets six airbags as standard. The Brezza gets a head-up display over the facelifted Sonet.

The Kia Sonet has up to six different gearbox options in addition to three engine options—two petrol and one diesel. Brezza, on the other hand, comes standard with a single petrol engine, however a factory-installed CNG kit is an alternative. The Brezza is now available from Maruti for prices ranging from Rs 8.29 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh. We anticipate that the beginning price of the new Sonet will be comparable, with the top-spec trim costing a little more.
