In India, JSW MG Motor has introduced an upgraded Astor. The Astor’s ex-showroom prices range from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs Ra 17.56 lakh. The most recent version of Astor has a new branding and some improvements over the MY2024 model. In its most recent commercial campaign, MG renamed the Astor as the “Blockbuster SUV.”
Astor receives an improved Shine variation in the most recent avatar, which now has a panoramic sunroof. With an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.48 lakh, it is now the least expensive SUV in its class with a panoramic sunroof. Six airbags are now a standard feature from the Select trim onwards.

Speaking of features, MG Astor comes equipped with amenities such as 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully-digital instrument cluster, a 6-speaker audio system, over 80 connected car features, auto dimming IRVM, and voice recognition system from Jio. In terms of safety, the Astor boasts of 14 Level 2 14 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features.
2025 MG Astor: Powertrain
The 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine has been removed from MG Motor’s lineup in a significant shift. The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Astor can now be paired with an 8-speed CVT automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual gearbox. This motor produces a maximum torque of 144 Nm and 109 horsepower.
