Tata Motors has officially unveiled the revised Altroz in India, following its debut a few days earlier. The redesigned Tata Altroz, built on the ALFA platform, continues to prioritise safety and accessibility, with six airbags, electronic stability control, and wide-opening doors that swing out to a full 90 degrees. Tata has revised its variation portfolio for this generation, which comprises Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S trims.
The facelift includes noteworthy visual changes such as a redesigned grille, reshaped front bumper, and new flush-type door handles. The front end now has a full-LED lighting system instead of the old projector configuration, and the rear has been modified to include a connected LED tail lamp strip across the width of the hatch.
On the inside, the revised Tata Altroz features a redesigned dashboard layout with two 26.03 cm HD screens, one for entertainment and the other for a digital instrument display. The cabin changes continue with the addition of ambient lighting, better seat upholstery, and the integration of an air purifier, all geared at increasing the premium appeal.

Tata Altroz facelift interior and exterior changes
Significant differences outside and inside, along with more features
When Tata unveiled the Altroz facelift on May 12, we reported that the mid-cycle update for the premium hatchback had considerable revisions from the previous model. The Altroz facelift’s appearance has new LED headlights with updated DRL signatures, a redesigned grille and bumpers, a new design for the 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, flush-fitting lighted door handles, and horizontal T-shaped LED taillights connected by an LED light bar. Tata sells the Altroz facelift in five colours: Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Royal Blue.
Longer features list on top-spec Altroz facelift than outgoing model
The Altroz facelift’s interior is similar to the Nexon and Curvv SUVs, with a 2-spoke steering wheel, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster (with navigation and blind spot monitoring screens), and auto air conditioning controls. The top-spec Altroz Accomplished + S includes a sunroof, AC vents, and a USB charger in the back, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Tata’s in-car connectivity technology, cruise control, an 8-speaker Harman audio system, automatic headlights and wipers, a height-adjustable seat belt, and a 360-degree camera. Six airbags and ESP are standard across the Altroz facelift lineup. It should be mentioned that the outgoing Altroz received a 5-star Global NCAP safety certification. The brand claims a boot space of 345 litres, which drops to 210 litres with the twin-cylinder CNG kit.
Tata Altroz facelift engine and gearbox options
New AMT option for 1.2 petrol engine
The Altroz facelift retains its predecessor’s engine options. The 86hp, 1.2-litre petrol with manual and 6-speed dual-clutch auto choices, the 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel with manual (Tata claims a 0-100kph time of 12.8 seconds), and the 74hp, 1.2-litre CNG with manual remain unchanged. The Altroz facelift petrol will also have a 5-speed AMT option. It should be noted that the Altroz Racer’s 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is not available in the upgraded premium hatchback. It remains to be seen whether Tata Motors will offer the sportier Racer model alongside the Altroz facelift.
