Earlier this year, Tata Motors updated the Tiago lineup with improved equipment for both ICE and EV variants. The business has quietly unveiled a new version of the Tiago NRG, with prices beginning at Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for Tiago NRG have risen since it is now only available in the XZ trim.

The Tiago NRG XT trim offered previously has now been discontinued. Like the regular Tiago, the new Tiago NRG gets a revised front grille and headlamps giving it a fresh appeal. That said, there’s a lot that differentiates the Tiago NRG from the rest of the Tiago lineup. For instance, the Tiago NRG gets a different front bumper housing new fog lamps nestled within black inserts.
Tata Tiago NRG: Exterior updates
The trapezoidal blacked-out inserts above the air intake vents give muscle to the hatchback. A simulated silver skid plate enhances the little hatch’s stance. In comparison, the regular Tiago features chrome-finished air dams and fog lamps. The Tiago NRG’s athletic look extends to the side profile, which features thick plastic cladding on the wheel arches and door sills.

Dual-tone alloy wheels with black and chrome inserts are also a new feature. The tailgate features a black plaque, while the bumper holds a silver-colored faux skid plate. Other notable visual features include a blacked-out roof with black roof rails, ORVMs and door handles, and tinted windows. The rest of the exterior is unchanged.
Tata Tiago NRG: Interior updates
Inside the cabin of the 2025 Tiago NRG, the changes are more evident. The biggest update is a free-standing 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. This system now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The other big change is Tata’s new two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated compact logo at the centre.

The semi-digital instrument cluster structure remains identical, but the central MID has increased in size. The air conditioning vents have also been altered. Finally, the seats are encased in charcoal black cloth upholstery, resulting in an all-black interior.
Tata Tiago NRG: Powertrain specs
Mechanically, the Tiago NRG is identical to the ordinary Tiago. This implies that its power comes from a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 85 horsepower and 113 Nm of peak torque. In CNG mode, the same motor produces 74.4 horsepower and 95.5 Nm of peak torque. Transmission tasks are handled by either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic.
