Reliance Jio launched its True 5G services in two more Odisha cities on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, including the steel city Rourkela and the silk city Brahmapur.
Previously, on January 5, 2023, Jio True 5G service was launched in the temple city of Bhubaneswar and the silver city of Cuttack.
The 5G service was also nationally launched in the states of Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, with Jio True 5G going live in 16 cities across the eight states of Chhattisgarh (Raipur, Durg, Bhilai), Bihar (Patna, Muzaffarpur), Jharkhand (Ranchi, Jamshedpur), Karnataka (Bijapur, Udupi, Kalaburagi, Bellary (Amravati).
Jio True 5G is now available in four cities across Odisha, with the addition of Rourkela and Brahmapur. JioTrue5G will be a true game changer for the steel city Rourkela, which is also a major business and education hub in the state, as it will usher in a plethora of opportunities and enhanced experiences for both residents and visitors.
The launch of io’s True 5G Data comes at an opportune time in Rourkela, as the steel city, along with Bhubaneswar, is co-hosting the ongoing FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup, which begins this week.
Similarly, users in Berhampur, the gateway to southern Odisha, will now be able to access data via the next-generation Jio True 5G network. It is worth noting that Jio controls more than two-thirds of the data market, and Jio is used by two out of every three smartphone users in Odisha.
Starting January 14th, Jio users in Rourkela and Brahmapur will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, which includes unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps+ at no extra cost.
