7th Pay Commission: DA Hike For Central Govt Employees Likely After June

The Central government employees have been waiting for the hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) from the start of this year. Although the Centre had introduced that the employees will continue to get DA and Dearness Relief (DR) on the present rates, a hike within the allowance is predicted soon after June 2021.

The DA is increased twice a year often in the course of the month of January and July. However, as a result of COVID-19 pandemic, the Centre introduced that the Central government employees is not going to get 21 per cent DA, which they might have from January 1, 2020.
