Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned funds from the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) for a special cause. This amount of Rs 60 lakh will be used to feed stray animals during the continuous Covid-19 lockdown in pieces of the state.
Like several parts of the country, Odisha has likewise set up measures to break the chain of transmission. Such limitations are being authorized across five metropolitan companies, 48 regions and 61 told region chambers (NACs).
“Animals such as stray dogs and cattle are facing a food shortage owing to the lockdown,” said a tweet by the Odisha public information department.
The Odisha government chose to make courses of action subsequent to considering that local people in where a lockdown is set up won’t take care of homeless creatures. This will presently be done through volunteers and voluntary organisations.
The sum endorsed by CM Naveen Patnaik will permit Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela and Brahmapur metropolitan organizations to go through Rs 20,000 per day for this reason. Additionally, the districts have been allowed to go through Rs 5,000 every day and NACs Rs 2,000 per day on feeding stray animals.
