Bhubaneswar: The special offline Matric Examination for the year 2021 will be conducted on 70 % of the syllabus, informed State School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.
“The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has already issued a notification for the improvement examination date and guidelines for the students expressing resentment over marks awarded to them. The questions in the examination will be set from 70% of the syllabus as we have already reduced the Class-10 syllabus by 30%. The Board will decide the pattern of questions for the examination,” he informed media.
The State Government made arrangements to conduct an improvement examination for the students, who aren’t satisfied with their marks. The examination will be conducted with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols, Dash mentioned while appealing to agitating students and their parents to appear in the examination.
As per the notification, the special offline examination is scheduled on July 30. It’ll continue until August 5. The candidates can fill up their forms online between July 5 and 14.
Speaking to reporters about the examination, the Minister mentioned that the Board will take appropriate measures to announce the results within 15 days and the students will not face any issue in admission into Plus II courses this academic session.
“The students can upload their new marks on official website of SAMS Odisha. The marks will be considered in the enrolment into Plus II courses,” Dash mentioned.
