New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday appointed governors to 8 states.
Thawarchand Gehlot is the new governor of Karnataka while Hari babu Kambhampati has appointed as governor of Mizoram and Mangubhai Chaganbhai Patel as governor of Madhya Pradesh, Bandaru Dattatraya appointed as Governor of Haryana
Rajendran Vishwanath Arlekar has been appointed as governor of Himachal Pradesh. PS Sreedharan Pillai, Ramesh Bais and Satyadev Narayan Arya have been transferred and appointed as governors of Goa, Jharkhand and Tripura respectively.
The appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices, said the office of the President.
