Odisha reports 1,578 New COVID-19 cases; Khordha highest at 436

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reports 1,578 new COVID-19 cases, a marginal increase, registering over 400 infections from Khordha district in a single day.

Of daily new COVID cases, 915 were from different quarantine centres and 663 were the local contacts.

Khordha district continues to be in top place with 436 new cases followed by Cuttack district with 212 cases and Jagatsinghpur district with 113 in last 24 hours.

The remaining 27 districts reported the new cases below 100.

With this, the total caseload rose to 9,77,268 with 16,384 active cases in Odisha up to now.
