Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 1,096 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours to the state’s tally to 9,85,827 on Friday.
Out of the fresh cases found from 28 districts, 637 are from quarantines and 459 local contact cases.
Khurda district again reported the highest 389 cases, followed by Cuttack and Balasore districts reporting 92 and 77 cases, respectively.

The COVID-19 toll went up to 6366 in Odisha on Saturday with 64 more patients from 14 districts succumbing to the virus.
Among the deceased, Khurda district has the highest figure of 27 followed by 17 from Cuttack, 4 each from Balasore and Keonjhar, 3 from Mayurbhanj and 1each from Angul, Bhadrak, Boudh, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kendrapada, Nayagarh and Puri.
