Odisha reported 761 more COVID-19 cases within the last 24 hours whereas a total of 60791 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day was registered at 1.25%.
Out of the 761 cases, 101 are children below 18 years of age. Khurda district recorded highest 289 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (117) and Balasore (52).
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1001698 with 8917 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 68 more deaths resulting from COVID-19 as the toll rose to 7426. Cuttack district had highest 17 fatalities.
