BCCI on Sunday sent out invitations for the job application for the coaching staff of the Indian men’s team and the National Cricket Academy. Former captain Rahul Dravid is the frontrunner to replace Ravi Shastri as the head coach and has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract.
Ravi Shastri (head coach), Bharat Arun (bowling coach) and R Sridhar’s (fielding coach) contracts will run out after the T20 World Cup within the United Arab Emirates in November.
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, who was also Dravid’s long-time group mate and captain at the international level throughout the pair’s illustrious careers, and secretary Jay Shah had a discussion with Dravid and the latter has agreed to a two-year contract, based on sources.
Former fast bowler Paras Mhambrey is about to succeed Bharat Arun as India’s head coach whereas Vikram Rathour will continue as the team’s batting coach.

5. Head Sports Science/Medicine with National Cricket Academy (NCA)
1. Applications for the position of Head Coach (Team India Senior Men) should be submitted by 5 PM on October 26, 2021 at headcoach@bcci.tv
2. Applications for the position of Batting Coach (Team India -Senior Men) should be submitted by 5 PM on November 03, 2021 at battingcoach@bcci.tv
3. Applications for the position of Bowling Coach (Team India -Senior Men) should be submitted by 5 PM on November 03, 2021 at bowlingcoach@bcci.tv
4. Applications for the position of Fielding Coach (Team India -Senior Men) should be submitted by 5 PM on November 03, 2021 at fieldingcoach@bcci.tv
5. Applications for the position of Head Sports Science and Medicine with NCA should be submitted by 5 PM on November 03, 2021 at sportsscienceandmedicine@bcci.tv
Dravid has coached the India A and under-19 teams, leading the latter to an U-19 World Cup title in 2018. He has been heading the National Cricket Academy (NCA) since 2019 and was head coach of the Indian limited overs team captained by Shikhar Dhawan in their limited overs tour of Sri Lanka earlier this year.
