Offline classes for +3 first year students in Odisha, which were suspended because of the COVID-19 situation, resumed in degree colleges throughout the state, today.
The classroom teaching for the UG students is being carried out amid strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.`
Offline classes for first year PG students are scheduled to start from November 15.
The State Government has written to the Principals of all Colleges and Vice-Chancellors of all Universities in this regard.
“Classroom teaching of First Year U.G. and First Year P.G. Students (Freshly admitted) for the session 2021-22 will begin from 01.11.2021 and 15.11.2021, respectively in physical mode by following appropriate Covid-19 prevention protocols,” the letter read.
Protocols:
* Face Mask/ Face Cover shall be necessary.
* Frequent Hand Wash/ Hand Sanitization shall be ensured.
* Social Distancing shall be adopted in classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and so on.
* Spitting in campus shall be strictly prohibited.
Respiratory etiquettes shall be strictly followed. (i.e. Covering one’s mouth and nose by handkerchief whereas coughing/ sneezing).
* Self-monitoring of health and reporting of illness needs to be encouraged.
* There must be an isolation room ready for any emergency.
Hostel services shall even be made out there for those students who’ve taken admission in hostels. All possible Covid-19 prevention protocols shall be followed in hostels, the letter added.
