Fans of Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor have been waiting for the trailer of Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and the makers have found a way to introduce the characters to everyone in the form of short clips. Dharma Productions has shared videos of the actors with voiceovers explaining their characters on their Twitter account.
Anil Kapoor has been cast in the role of Bheem. He’s dressed oddly and introduces himself as someone who wants to be the centre of attention and is self-obsessed. The following video introduces us to Geeta, aka Neetu Kapoor, who prioritises ‘ghar ki khushi.’ Then there’s Varun Dhawan, the dashing Kuku from ‘dil se ameer.’ Then there’s Naina, who is Kiara Advani and will soon steal our hearts. Last but not least is Gurpreet, who is Maniesh Paul, and Ginni, who is Prajakta Koli, both of whom introduce themselves in an unusual manner.
The story revolves around two couples from different generations who become entangled in post-marriage issues. The premise brilliantly bridges the generation gap and makes a unique point about love, but with plenty of humour. Though the main characters in both films are two couples, the treatment and story are completely different. Jug Jugg Jeeyo is more about families and the relationship between a married son and his father and mother, played by Anil and Neetu.
The film is set to be released on June 24, 2022.
