It is common knowledge that adequate sunlight exposure is required to meet the body’s vitamin D requirements for optimal health. And Ayurveda also suggests drinking of sun-charged water.
“It is the primary source of fire (heat), one of the elements that comprise our planet.” “Sunlight, according to Ayurveda, can treat a variety of health problems,” Ayurvedic expert Dr Nitika Kohli wrote on Instagram as she shared the various ways sun-charged water can improve health.
*Sun charged water has anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties that help to keep health and skin problems at bay. Consider drinking sun-charged water if you experience a lack of energy throughout the day.
*It is also beneficial to the skin, as it “heals common skin problems such as rashes, redness, and keeps your skin radiant.”
*Dr. Kohli recommends washing your eyes and skin with sun-charged water if you have common eye or skin problems. “Because this water is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, it keeps common problems at bay.”
“Though sun charged water is completely natural and shouldn’t have any side effects on your health, we recommend you consult a doctor if undergoing medication or a treatment,” she suggested.
How to make sun charged water?
To make this “magic potion” at home, follow the Ayurvedic expert’s instructions.
*Place a glass bottle filled with water in the sun for at least 8 hours. You can do this every day or leave it in the sun for 8 hours every three days for the best results.
*Avoid refrigerating this water because it can reduce its health benefits.
*Continue to drink this water throughout the day. You can put one or more bottles in the sun depending on how much water you drink.
