All schools in Odisha will reopen today after an 11-day summer break.
There will be no morning classes, however. Offline classes will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Teachers will arrive at their respective schools at 9.30 a.m. and will stay until 4.30 p.m.
The School and Mass Education Department issued new guidelines in this regard earlier yesterday.
Headmasters have been asked to ensure that the 2022-23 academic year runs smoothly. On the first day, they will meet with all teachers to discuss a variety of issues, including the preparation of time tables and lesson plans.
According to department sources, steps have been taken to ensure the timely completion of the syllabus and the conduct of examinations.
In addition to schools, colleges and universities will reopen today.
The state government had announced that schools and other educational institutions summer vacation from June 6 to June 16.
