The box office collections for Karan Johar’s JugJugg Jeeyo increased by nearly 40% on the second day of its release. The film earned Rs 9.28 crore on its first day and Rs 12.55 crore on its second day, bringing the total to Rs 21.83 crore. According to trade analysts, with positive word of mouth, the Varun Dhawan-Kiara Advani film could earn a higher total on Sunday.
The Raj Mehta-directed family drama also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli, in addition to the young B-town stars.
JugJugg Jeeyo had received a solid pre-release booking. Film producer and trade expert Girish Johar had earlier told , “JugJugg Jeeyo is a bit urban, typical Dharma glossy film. So, it will get a good start in Delhi, Punjab, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Mysore, and the top 20 cities.”
