Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The weekly futures and options expiry caused a volatile trading session for domestic benchmark indices. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 51.73 points, or 0.09 %, to 58,298 while the NSE nifty 50 index fell 6.15 points, or 0.04 %, to 17,382.
Bank Nifty closed 0.62 percent lower at 37,755, while India VIX surged more than 4% to close above 19 levels. Sun Pharma was the top gainer, up 2.46 %, while Nestle India was up 2.39 %, followed by Infosys, Dr Reddy’s, and M&M.
The worst performer was NTPC, followed by State Bank of India, Axis Bank, and Reliance Industries.
