On Tuesday, Indian benchmark indices recovered strongly, gaining more than 2.5%.
The Sensex rose 1,564 points to reclaim the 59,000 mark, closing at 59,537. The Nifty surged past 17,500 to close at 17,759, a nearly 450-point gain.
On Tuesday, all sectoral indices ended higher, with the Bank, Financial Sector, and Realty sectors contributing the most. The majority of the indices rose by more than 2%. Pharma, Healthcare, and Media were the only indices to gain less than 2%.
The Bajaj twins’ stock increased by 5%, while IndusInd Bank increased by 4%. In today’s session, all Nifty 50 stocks finished in the green.
Despite persistent concerns about rate hikes, Asian markets in general recovered on Tuesday after a weak Monday.
