Share Market Highlights: Sensex jumps 479 pts, Nifty ends above 17,100

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices HIGHLIGHTS: Benchmarks for the domestic equity market On Wednesday, a day before the weekly F&O expiry, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 ended a three-day losing streak. The BSE Sensex closed 479 points or 0.8% higher at 57,626, while the NSE Nifty closed 140 points or 0.8% higher at 17,124. Among the top index gainers were PowerGrid Corporation of India, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, NTPC, M&M, and Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL). Asian Paints, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, and Titan Company, on the other hand, were among the top index laggards. The Bank Nifty gained more than 1% to close at 39,119.
