The Drishyam 2 trailer was released in Goa On Monday afternoon. Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna were all present in the event. Drishyam is the follow-up to Nishikant Kamat’s 2017 hit thriller. It was also a remake of the same-named Malayalam hit starring Mohanlal.
The trailer begins with Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar stating that his family is still being pursued for Sam’s disappearance seven years later. The investigation appears to be ongoing. The investigating officer is Akshaye Khanna, and he is on the hunt for Vijay’s lie. But they all face the same problem: evidence. Tabu, Sam’s mother and former IG, arrives, vowing never to underestimate this ‘fourth-fail anpadh’ again.
The film, directed by Abhishek Pathak, also stars Ishita Dutta, Akshaye Khanna, Rajat Kapoor, and Shriya Saran in the lead roles and is all set to hit the theatres on November 18, 2022.
The Hindi version, starring Ajay, was a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film of the same name, which starred Mohanlal. It was directed by Nishikant Kamat, a National Award winner who died in 2020 at the age of 50.
In the hit 2015 film ‘Drishyam,’ Ajay’s character of Vijay convinced everyone that their family had gone on vacation, which turned out to be a perfect plan to save his family from a murder conviction. In the sequel, Ajay will reprise one of his most intriguing characters and continue in Vijay’s shoes. The story unfolds a journey that leaves the audience wondering what his way out might be this time.
