According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday, India’s tally of Covid-19 cases increased to 4,46,54,638, while active cases decreased to 17,618, with 1,046 people testing positive for coronavirus infection in a day.
The death toll has risen to 5,29,077, with 53 fatalities, including 46 reconciled by Goa and three by Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.04 percent of total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.78 percent.
In the last 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 294 cases.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,07,943, with a case fatality rate of 1.18 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, the country has received 219.64 crore doses of Covid vaccine as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive.
