According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday, India’s tally of COVID-19 cases increased to 4,46,57,149, while active cases decreased to 16,098, with 1,321 people testing positive for coronavirus infection in a day. The death toll has risen to 5,30,461 with nine fatalities, including five deaths reconciled by Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
According to the health ministry website, active cases account for 0.04 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.78 percent. In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 145 cases.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,10,590, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent. According to the ministry’s website, the country has received 219.67 crore doses of Covid vaccine as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
