The nighttime temperature has gradually dropped across Odisha. Mild to moderate cold has been reported in various parts of the state as the temperature gradually drops. The night temperature will drop further in the next three days due to the cold wave, according to the regional weather department on Sunday.
The temperature is expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees in the coming days, according to the weather service.
Several parts of the state have also experienced dense fog in the early morning hours. Kandhamal district’s Phulbali, Daringibadi, Baliguda, Kotgarh, Tumudibandh, and Raikiya areas are experiencing daily temperature drops. In recent days, the temperature in the district has remained between 10 and 15 degrees. Similarly, mercury is falling in the Mayurbhanj district too.
People are starting to feel the winter chills in the mornings and evenings. Many people are escaping the cold by sitting around bonfires or drinking hot tea.
