Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: In a volatile session marked by weak global cues, Indian benchmark indices ended lower. The BSE Sensex fell more than 200 points to close at 62,410, while the NSE Nifty 50 index closed at 18,560. After the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) raised the repo rate by 35 basis points to 6.25 percent, markets became volatile. The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices fell up to 0.56% in the broader markets. The top Sensex laggards, down up to 0.7%, were HCL Tech, Wipro, NTPC, TCS, Tech M, and Kotak Bank, while ONGC was the top Nifty loser. Asian Paints, L&T, ICICI Bank, SBI, Ultratech Cement, Sun Pharma, Cipla, and BPCL, on the other hand, were the top gainers across the two frontlines indices.
