Share Market Highlights: Nifty tops 18000, Sensex soars 700 pts

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The bulls returned to Dalal Street as the BSE Sensex closed 721 points or 1.2% higher at 60,566, while the NSE Nifty 50 closed at 18,015, up 208 points or 1%. All of the sectoral indices finished in the green. The BSE midcap index gained 2.3%, while the smallcap index gained 3%. The top Nifty gainers were SBI, IndusInd Bank, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, and Coal India, while the laggards were Divis Labs, Cipla, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Nestle India, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Individual stocks rose more than 5% after NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy decided to sell a 27.26% stake in the news broadcaster to Adani Group.
