The BF.7 scare has alerted all countries. While experts believe there will be no more COVID waves, the threat of rising cases remains. The next 40 days will be critical, as India may see an increase in COVID-19 cases in mid-January based on previous trends, according to news agency ANI citing official sources. In the last few days, India has received reports of COVID cases from international passengers. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister, met with state health ministers to discuss the COVID-19 situation and preparedness. ‘Test-Track-Treat-Vaccination’ has been mandated for all states and union territories.

The warning follows an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in China, Japan, South Korea, France, and Brazil.
