Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: The Indian equity indices finished Monday’s session in the red. The BSE Sensex fell 334.98 points, or 0.55%, to 60,506.90, while the NSE Nifty 50 fell 89.45 points, or 0.50 percent, to 17,764.60. Adani Ports, IndusInd Bank, BPCL, Apollo Hospital, and Hero Motocorp were the top gainers on the Nifty, while Divis Lab, JSW Steel, Hindalco, Tata Steel, and Infosys were the laggards. Bank Nifty fell 0.30%, Nifty Auto fell 0.13%, Nifty IT fell 0.61%, and Nifty Metal fell 2.20%, while Nifty FMCG rose 0.56%, Nifty Media gained 0.78%, and Nifty PSU Bank advanced 0.25%.
Adani Transmission on Monday reported its fiscal third quarter net profit rose 73% on-year to Rs 478 crore, aided by a one-time income of Rs 240 crore from a regulatory order. Revenue for the quarter ended 31 December 2022 rose 16% on-year to Rs 3,037 crore, the company reported in a stock exchange announcement. The transmission company’s EBITDA grew 28.9% on-year to Rs 1,708 crore.
SBI, Infosys, Reliance Industries, ITC, Axis Bank are among the volume toppers on the BSE Sensex-30 index.
