On Sunday, Pradeep Jena was named the new Chief Secretary of Odisha. Jena will take over for Suresh Chandra Mahaptra, who is retiring on February 28. Jena will take over as CEO on March 1.
Jena, an Odisha cadre IAS officer from 1989, has served as DC-cum-ASC, Special Relief Commissioner, and MD of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).
Jena will be replaced as Development Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary, and Secretary, Planning and Convergence by Anu Garg. She will continue to serve as the Government of Odisha’s Additional Chief Secretary for Water Resources.
