Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The Indian benchmark equity indices finished the week’s final trading session in the green. The NSE Nifty 50 increased by 272.45 points, or 1.57%, to 17,594.35 and the BSE Sensex increased by 899.62 points, or 1.53%, to 59,808.97. Bank Nifty gained 861.55 points, or 2.13%, to 41,251.35, while PSU Bank gained 203.40 points, or 5.40%, to 3,970.15. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel, and SBI Life were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, Cipla, Divis Lab, and Nestle India were the top losers.
Asian markets were trading broadly in green in the early morning trade. China’s Shanghai Composite index rose 0.08%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.41%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.50%.
Wall Street stocks surged on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 341.73 points, or 1.05%, to close at 33,003.57. Salesforce boosted the Dow, rallying 11.5% on a strong quarter and forward guidance. The S&P 500 gained 0.76% to close at 3,981.35. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.73%, ending the session at 11,462.98.
