The trailer for the second season of the hit streaming series ‘Rocket Boys,’ which tells the story of independent India’s formative years, was recently released. It depicts the country coping with the death of its first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, as well as rising geopolitical tensions.
Dr. Homi J. Bhabha (played by Jim Sarbh), Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (played by Ishwak Singh), and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam cross paths to help the nation with their discoveries as the country sails through turbulence with belligerent political hostility, changing hands of power within the country, and international agencies keeping a close eye on the country’s ambition.
It also depicts India’s closeness to developing the nuclear bomb and the operation Smiling Buddha, which was India’s first successful nuclear bomb test on May 18, 1974, with Vikram Sarabhai ushering in a new era of scientific development in the country with the launch of satellites into space.
Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Regina Cassandra, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Namit Das, and Saba Azad play pivotal roles in the show.
The show was created by Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films, and Emmay Entertainment, and it was written and directed by Abhay Pannu.
