Over the next three days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts light to moderate rain in several parts of Odisha.
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected in one or two locations across coastal Odisha, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Rayagada, while dry weather is expected to prevail across the rest of the state from Monday to Wednesday.
The maximum temperature (day temperature) is expected to rise by 2°C-4°C over the next two days, with no significant change thereafter in many parts of Odisha. The maximum and minimum temperatures will almost certainly be around 36°C and 23°C, respectively. Bhubaneswar and its surroundings are expected to have mostly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards afternoon/evening.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms have occurred in one or two locations across coastal Odisha and the districts of Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Nabarangpur, and Sambalpur over the last 24 hours. Dense fog has formed over Khurda and Dhenkanal in one or two places.
Balasore received 2 cm of rain, Padmapur (Rayagada) received 2 cm, Mahendragarh (Gajapati) received 1 cm, Tangi (Khurda) received 1 cm, Remuna (Balasore) received 1 cm, Udala (Mayurbhanj) received 1 cm, Bhubaneswar Aero (Khurda) received 1 cm, and Kodala (Ganjam) received 1 cm.
In the plains of Odisha, the highest maximum temperature of 36.5°C was recorded at Malkangiri and Titlagarh, and the lowest minimum temperature of 17.0°C was recorded at Jagatsinghpur.
