Adipurush release updates: Over 5.4 lakh tickets have already been sold for the first weekend presentations of the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon film.
Adipurush, the much-awaited film of Telugu superstar Prabhas, has hit theaters across the world. starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, was released on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Bhushan Kumar backs Adipurush, which is directed by Om Raut. Fans are looking forward to seeing the play based on the epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays Raghava, and Kriti Sanon plays Janaki. Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist Ravana in Adipurush.
Outside the theaters, fans are dancing and singing Jai Shri Ram, while others are dismayed by the film’s poor dialogue and VFX. Aamir Khan Productions and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently sent their best wishes to the whole ‘Adipurush’ team ahead of the film’s premiere.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah declared on Thursday that Hindi films will not be screened in Nepal’s capital until a piece of the dialogue is deleted. Mayor Shah has set a three-day deadline for the adjustments to be implemented.
“Until the line ‘Janaki is a daughter of India’ contained in the South Indian film ‘Adipurush’ is removed not just in Nepal but also in India, no Hindi films will be allowed to run in Kathmandu Metropolitan City,” Shah wrote on his Facebook wall.
The film has a massive budget of Rs 500 crore. The film grossed Rs 12 crore after advance bookings began on Sunday. PVR, the national theater chain, sold over one lakh tickets in the Hindi market alone, and trade analysts anticipate a massive opening at ticket counters across the country.
Girish Johar, a cinema trade analyst, estimated the film’s opening day total to be Rs 50 crore across all languages.
In response to the Ramayan madness among Indians, cinema trade expert Taran Adarsh stated, “The most significant thing for me is not Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, or Saif Ali Khan. It is Ramayan for me, and it is a really strong emotion. “Everything else is secondary,” he says, while admitting that many Indians who saw the film will identify with his feelings.” According to new reports, the first day collection could be much higher, possibly surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
