Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are expected in various regions of Odisha over the next three to four days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued ‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’ alerts, respectively, warning of a severe heat wave and a heat wave in many districts.
The IMD predicts that maximum temperatures would be 4-7°Celsius above average in a few spots in Odisha over the next three days. As a result, hot and uncomfortable weather is expected during the next 3-4 days, and people are encouraged to take preventive precautions (avoid heat exposure, stay cool, and avoid dehydration) when venturing outside during the day between 1100 IST-1500 IST.
The IMD has issued a Heat Wave Warning for the next four days:

Orange alert (Be Prepared) Severe heat wave Many localities in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, and Kandhamal are anticipated to experience heat wave conditions.
Yellow alert (to be updated) Heat wave conditions are expected to prevail in one or two locations in the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Ganjam, and Jajpur.

Orange alert (Be Prepared) Severe heat wave Heat wave conditions are expected in a few areas over the districts of Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda, and Bolangir.
Yellow alert (to be updated) Heat wave conditions are predicted in one or two locations across the districts of Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Nuapada.

Orange alert (Be Prepared) Severe heat wave Heat wave conditions are expected in a few locations in the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and Bolangir.
