Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Railways Minister, will arrive here Monday evening for a three-day tour to Odisha.
Soon after arrival, Vaishnaw will go to Puri, where he would examine the Puri railway station and assess the pilgrim arrangements in preparation for the world-famous Car Festival (Rath Yatra) in the evening, according to railway officials.
Vaishnaw will also pay a visit to the Rath Yatra site on Tuesday morning.
Later, he will travel to Bahanaga Bazar, the site of the triple railway catastrophe on June 2 evening, to meet with locals.
He will also pay a visit to the Balasore District Hospital and meet with hospital and district administration officials. They further stated that Vaishnaw will evaluate and review the development of the Balasore railway station.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the Odisha railway disaster has risen to 292 after one more injured passenger died on Sunday at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Paltu Naskar (24) of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, was identified as the dead.
