PM Modi Conferred With ‘Order Of The Nile’, Egypt’s Highest State Honour

Prime Minister is the first Indian to receive the award.

This is the 13th such highest state honor bestowed upon PM Modi by various countries throughout the world, and it is a source of pride for India. PM Modi has earned numerous international honors during his nine-year term, including Companion of the Order of Logohu, Companion of the Order of Fiji, and the Republic of Palau’s Ebakl Award, among others.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi and Egyptian President El-Sisi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Cairo on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister paid tribute to Indian soldiers who made tremendous sacrifices during World War I at the Heliopolis War Cemetery in Cairo, Egypt.

PM Modi on Sunday also visited the Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo.

The Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo, Egypt, is a major historical and cultural site from the 11th century. The mosque is a tribute to India’s and Egypt’s rich cultural legacy.

The amazing restoration of the Al-Hakim mosque, made possible by the Dawoodi Bohra community’s unshakable dedication and assistance, adds even more significance to the PM’s visit.

The Al-Hakim mosque, with its centuries-old tradition, is a religious and historical landmark that exemplifies the blending of Indian and Egyptian civilizations.

PM Modi will be in Egypt from June 24 to June 25.

President El-Sisi’s appearance as the Chief Guest at India’s Republic Day celebrations earlier this year prompted PM Modi’s travel to Egypt. President El-Sisi’s visit to India was a huge success, with both countries agreeing to upgrade their relations to the level of strategic cooperation.

PM Modi met with his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly in Cairo on Saturday for a roundtable discussion.

After arrival in Egypt, the prime minister was greeted with a thunderous welcome and cries of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Modi Modi’.

Several members of the Indian community greeted PM at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The Indian diaspora demonstrated its support by waving the Tricolor and chanting “Modi Modi” and “Vande Mataram” slogans. There were many children in the diaspora as well. To greet PM Modi, many people performed Indian songs and conducted cultural programs.
