After earning Rs 9.25 crore on its first day of release, which coincided with Eid on Thursday, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s Satyaprem Ki Katha experienced a 22 percent drop in box office profits on Friday. However, the actors’ Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 triumph is poised to continue, as the film is set to reach the Rs 20 crore mark today.
Satyaprem Ki Katha, directed by Sameer Vidwans, earned roughly Rs 7.19 crore on day two, bringing its total two-day profits to around Rs 17 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The tracking website anticipates a Saturday collection of around Rs 8 crore and a Sunday revenue of more than Rs 8 crore.
Because Friday was a working day, the film’s earnings fell marginally. Satyaprem Ki Katha, on the other hand, is projected to pick up over the weekend due to positive word-of-mouth and generally positive reviews from film reviewers.
According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, the picture will have a solid weekend box office hold and is predicted to appeal to families based on advance booking statistics. Kartik and Kiara resorted to social media to thank their fans for their support.
Kartik wrote, “#SatyaPremKiKatha winning Hearts and Numbers 🤍 Thank You to the AUDIENCE 🙏🏻.” Kiara, who is receiving a lot of love and praise for her role in the film, took to Instagram stories to thank her fans. She wrote, “Today what has truly touched me is seeing my fans rejoice with all the reviews coming my way…they have rooted for me since the very beginning and seeing them feel a sense of victory has made me really emotional, I owed it to them, it has taken me some time, but here we are finally! It is their success. This love is genuinely magical. #JustGreatful.”
Satyaprem Ki Katha also stars Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant, and Shikha Talsania in significant roles, in addition to Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was a tremendous smash at the domestic box office last year, grossing over Rs 185 crore.
