On Wednesday, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 was unveiled at the South Korean company’s second Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event of the year. The latest foldable smartphone from the firm is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy chipset and features a 7.6-inch AMOLED inner display as well as a 6.2-inch cover screen, both of which can refresh at up to 120Hz. According to the business, the foldable handset employs Samsung’s innovative Flex Hinge with a two rail structure, which is intended to dampen external impact.

- Samsung’s higher-end Galaxy Z Fold 5 is priced at $1,799 (approx Rs 1,47,000) for the 256GB variant, $1,919 (approx Rs 1,57,000) for the 512GB version, and $2,159 (approx Rs 1,77,000) for the 1TB storage option.
- Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 prices in India on Thursday, July 27th.

- Front cameras: There is a 10MP shooter on the cover screen and a 4MP under-display sensor on the main folding screen.
- Others: The handset comes with an IPX8 rating and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

- Colour: The handset will also be available in Blue and Gray colorways, although these will be accessible only through the Samsung.com website. In some markets, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is already available for pre-order. The foldable will be available for purchase from August 11.

Design and build changes
