Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished the day in the green on Monday. The NSE Nifty 50 increased by 80.30 points, or 0.41%, to 19,597.30, while the BSE Sensex increased by 232.23 points, or 0.35%, to 65,953.48. Bank Nifty fell 42 points or 0.09% to 44,837.50, Nifty PSU Bank fell 0.60%, while Nifty Auto increased 0.41%, Nifty IT gained 1.13%, Nifty Pharma gained 1.56%, and Nifty Realty gained 0.58%. Divis Laboratories, Mahindra & Mahindra, SBI Life, Sun Pharma, and LTIM were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Britannia, Bajaj Auto, SBIN, Tata Motors, and Axis Bank were the top losers.
The US market ended Friday’s session in red – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) plunged 0.43%, S&P 500 tanked 0.53% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq sank 0.36%.
Asian markets were trading flat – China’s Shanghai Composite Index tumbled 0.65%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 dipped 0.13%, Asia Dow fell 0.15% while South Korea’s KOSPI rose 0.05% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.05%.
