Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T) V K Pandian visited Puri districts as per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to examine the progress of different developmental activities in the area and to address public issues.
As per an official press release, Pandian visited Kamaleswar Temple in Krushnaprasad. During this visit, he engaged with Sebayats, Trustee members, and the general public. The discussions revolved around temple development and improved facilities for devotees. Additionally, suggestions were sought regarding different facets of temple transformation and associated pilgrim/tourist amenities.He directed the district administration to create a development master plan.
Pandian evaluated the status of ongoing Mega Piped Water Supply Schemes in the Krushnaprasad, Brahmagiri, Pipili, Delang, Puri, Gop, and Satyabadi Blocks at a cost of Rs 1075 Crore. The projects will be implemented in stages beginning in December 2023. The projects are in various stages, and he has asked the people in charge to ensure that the work is of high quality and completed on time.
Pandian met with the District government in Pipili to review the livelihood of the Chandua laborers and asked them to design a development plan.
He engaged in discussions with college students in Puri regarding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s decision to incorporate the district’s 48 higher secondary schools and 35 degree colleges into the 5T transformation initiative. This initiative comes with a budget of Rs 51.75 crores. He motivated the students to study well and work hard to achieve their dreams.
Throughout the day, he attended public grievance meetings in Pipili, Krushnaprasad, Brahmagiri, and Puri. He spoke with the public about their complaints. He highlighted Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s prioritization of citizen issues and assured that his administration would address submitted petitions promptly.
On the occasion of the visit, Pandian actively participated in the event, alongside Special Secretary to the CM R Vineel Krishna, IG Ashish Kumar Singh, Collector Samarth Verma, SP Kanwar Vishal Singh, and other district-level officials.
