Boat, an Indian consumer electronics company, has unveiled its first smart ring, which is made of luxury ceramic and metal. The Boat smart ring, which costs Rs 8,999, doubles as an activity tracker and can measure several health metrics like as heart rate, sleep, body temperature, and SpO2.
The Boat smart ring is also water and dust resistant to 5 ATM and may be worn while swimming or bathing. The smart ring is available in three sizes and may last up to seven days on a single charge.
The boAt smart ring’s major differentiating feature is its smart touch control system, which allows the ring to control music playback, click images, and scroll through Instagram loops. The Boat smart ring works with both Android and iOS smartphones via the boAt ring app, which provides a wealth of health data such as exercise management, recovery status, sleep monitoring, and more.
Furthermore, the smart ring can be used to initiate emergency calls. The Boat smart ring will be available for purchase on Flipkart and Amazon beginning August 28.
Aside from boAt, firms such as Noise recently unveiled its first smart ring, which is quite similar to the boAt offering. In terms of functions, these smart rings have the same features and capabilities as an inexpensive fitness band/smart watch, but without the display.
