Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced an assistance of Rs 5 Crore for Himachal Pradesh.
In recent years, the state has been ravaged by relentless rains, resulting in tremendous loss of life and property.
The money will come from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
In a letter to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Chief Minister expressed worry about the people’s misery and loss of property as a result of the heavy rains and severe floods.
‘My government and the people of Odisha stand firmly by the people of Himachal at this hour of crisis’, said the CM in the letter.
The funds would be used for repair and restoration in the Himachal Pradesh state.
