On Wednesday (October 4), the Vivo V29 Pro and Vivo V29 have been launched in India. The latest V-series smartphones from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer feature 6.78-inch AMOLED panels with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The standard Vivo V29 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, whilst the Vivo V29 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. The Vivo 29 series features triple rear cameras and runs Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. They are the successor to the Vivo V27 series, which was introduced in the country in March. Both models include 50-megapixel selfie cameras and are powered by 4,600mAh batteries with 80W fast charging capabilities.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage edition of the Vivo V29 Pro costs Rs. 39,999 in India. The most expensive model, with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, costs Rs. 42,999. It is available in Himalayan Blue and Space Black. The Vivo V29, on the other hand, costs Rs. 32,999 for an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Rs. 36,999 for a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is available in Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black.
They are currently available for pre-order in India via Flipkart, Vivo’s online shop, and offline retail partners. The Vivo V29 Pro will be available for purchase in October 10, while the regular model will be available starting October 17.

The features and design of the Vivo V29 Pro and Vivo V29 are comparable. The dual SIM (nano) Vivo V29 Pro runs FunTouch OS 13 on Android 13 and has a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,260×2,800 pixels) 3D curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and PWM dimming at up to 2160Hz. It has a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM. With additional unused storage, the available RAM can be “extended” up to 20GB.

On the front, it has a 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus.
The Vivo V29 Pro comes with 256GB of internal storage. 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, Beidu, GLONASS, Galileo, Navic, and a USB Type-C connection are among the connectivity choices. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board. It also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
The Vivo V29 Pro is powered by a 4,600mAh battery that supports 80W rapid charging. The fast-charging technology claims to charge the battery from 0 to 50% in as little as 50 minutes. It has dimensions of 164×74.37×7.4mm and weighs 188 grams.
