Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: The major equity indices finished Thursday’s trading session in the green. The NSE Nifty 50 rose 144.10 points, or 0.76%, to 19,133.25, while the BSE Sensex gained up to 489.57 points, to 64,080.90. The broader indices finished higher, with Midcap and Smallcap companies outperforming. The Bank Nifty rose 316.25 points, or 0.74%, to 43,017.20. Among the other sectoral indexes, real estate stocks gained over 2.52%, while PSU Bank, Metal Select Financial Services, and Oil & Gas companies gained more than 1%. Britannia Industries, Hindalco, IndusInd Bank, Apollo Hospital, and Eicher Motors were the biggest gainers on the NSE Nifty 50, while Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Life Insurance, ONGC, and Adani Enterprises were the top losers. The volatility index (India Vix) ended down 8.07%.
