Tiger 3, the highly anticipated thriller starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is certain to break box office records. The film’s advance ticket sales began on Sunday, and the cash registers are already ringing. According to Sacnilk, the film has already sold over 2 lakh and 27 thousand tickets, with 2,17,992 sold exclusively in the Hindi belt.
According to the statistics, the film made Rs 6.48 crore from the sale of tickets to 9558 shows across India. The film has had the most showings (1857) in Maharashtra, where it has grossed Rs 1.17 crore. Gujarat has the second greatest number of shows (1756), with a total revenue of Rs 53.11 lakhs. Delhi currently has 943 shows of the movie. The 2D format of the film has sold tickets worth Rs 6.03 crore across the country.
Surpassing Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani in advance ticket sales, the Maneesh Sharma-directed picture has secured its position as the sixth highest-earning film of 2023. However, it now follows behind Jawan, Pathaan, Adipurush, and Gadar 2.
Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director of PVR INOX Limited, highlighted that Tiger 3 has attracted audiences beyond the Hindi belt. He stated, “Despite the film’s Diwali day release, we have already secured advance ticket sales of 100,000 tickets, including 60,000 for the first day,” during an interview with PTI. Due to Salman Khan’s extensive fan base nationwide, along with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu, the film successfully captured the interest of viewers beyond the Hindi belt.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh is a bit apprehensive about the film’s collection on Sunday, since it is Diwali and many people in the country are busy with the festivities. He told PTI, “This film is releasing on Sunday, on Diwali day, when Laxmi puja is happening in the evening, so people might go on Monday or might go for a spot or current booking. It is a bit too early, we will get clarity closer to the release. As of now, it is excellent.”
Tiger 3 is the third film of Salman Khan’s wildly successful Tiger franchise, which also includes Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. The antagonist is played by Emraan Haashmi. Aside from Shah Rukh Khan, it may also feature Hrithik Roshan as Kabir from Yash Raj Films’ other spy thriller, War.
