Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal has hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office within two days of its release, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan’s opening day collection. According to Sachnilk’s first estimates, the film earned Rs 66 crore on Saturday, boosting its total domestic gross to Rs 129.80 crore.
On Friday, the film grossed Rs 63.8 crore at the box office, exceeding Pathaan’s first-day collection of Rs 54 crore. However, it fell short of the second-day collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s film, which garnered Rs Rs 70.50 crore on day two.
According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Animal has raked in a massive Rs 230 crore worldwide. He took to Twitter and wrote, “In 2 days, #Animal has grossed a huge ₹ 230 Crs+ at the WW Box office.”

Animal debuted in theaters alongside Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. While Animal is doing well at the box office, the Meghna Gulzar-directed film is moving slowly and steadily. On Friday, the film earned Rs 6.25 crore and on Saturday, it earned Rs 9.25 crore.
Animal is directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, who has previously directed Arjun Reddy and its Hindi adaptation Kabir Singh. Both of his previous films were chastised for celebrating toxic masculinity, and Animal is no exception. Despite the criticism, Sandeep’s film found a following and is making money at the box office.
